Kabul: An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 struck Afghanistan today. As per the National Centre of Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 6:05 AM local time. As of now, no casualties have been reported.

As per the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake took place near the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan, impacting both countries.

The tremors of the earthquake were felt in the Kandahar region. The magnitude of the earthquake ranged between 5.3 to 5.6.
