Who Is Rebecca Wisocky's 'Nerd' Husband? The 'Ghosts' Star Can Not Stop Gushing about Him Online

"Devious Maids" actress Rebecca Wisocky has a loving relationship with her husband, Lap Chi Chu. Although the pair do not have children, they have four adorable pets.

Actress Rebecca Wisocky is known for her roles as Evelyn Powell in "Devious Maids" and as Hetty Woodstone in CBS's sitcom "Ghosts," alongside costar Rose McIver. Another of her roles is being a supportive and loving wife to her husband, Lap Chi Chu.

Wisocky got engaged to the technical light designer on January 5, 2015, on the Pont de la Tournelle in Paris. In October 2015, Wisocky revealed the couple got married as she tweeted: "I just totally married this nerd and have never been happier."

On October 10, 2015, they wed in Boston at a turn-of-the-century mansion that overlooked the Boston Common. After the nuptials, the couple held a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and banquet at China Pearl restaurant.

The "Heathers" actress shared with People that their loved ones came from different parts of the world to celebrate their wedding. She gushed about her new husband as she told the outlet he was her best friend:

"I am marrying my best friend and quite honestly the best man I've ever known. I can't believe my good fortune to find this happiness. It's never too late."

According to Chu's LinkedIn, he is a professor and head of lighting design at the University of California, Los Angeles. Before the position, he worked as the head of lighting at the California Institute of Arts.

He has leaned his technical lighting skills to many productions. Recently, he worked on Simon Stephens' premiere of "Morning Sun" and David Lindsay-Albaire and Jeanini Tesori's musical, "Kimberly Akimbo."

Chu has won numerous awards for his work, including the 2018 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence in Lighting Design, Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Angstrom Award for Career Achievement in Lighting Design, and the 2018 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence in Lighting Design, to name a few.

During his career, the lighting designer has designed more than 50 world premieres of new plays, including recently designing "Darling Grenadine" and Hilary Bettis' "72 Miles to Go," both at the Roundabout Theater in New York.

He does not only have a successful professional life, but he also has an incredible personal life with his gorgeous wife and their four pets, dogs, Carlo, Primrose, and Tank, and a cat, Rocky.

By taking a scroll through Wisocky's Instagram account, it is evident that their pets are treated as family members and are deeply loved. They joined the couple for a road trip across America last year, and Wisocky celebrated their birthdays on the platform.

Wisocky took to the platform last year to wish her oldest dog Carlo well for his eighth birthday. While celebrating the twins Primrose and Tank's first birthday in May, Wisocky wrote she and Carlo were grateful to have them.

When the couple is not gushing over their furbabies, they are gushing over each other online. Wisocky regularly shows off her handsome husband on her profile, and Chu is equally not afraid to show love to his beautiful wife online.
