PSG Talon announces that Unified will be attending LoL Worlds

Reigning PCS champion PSG Talon has announced via Twitter that the team’s starting botlaner, Wong ‘Unified’ Chun Kit will be returning to international play at LoL Worlds 2021. The player missed out on the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational in Reykjavík‎ due to health complications.

“Over the past couple of months since MSI, Unified has taken action to rehabilitate his condition and has seen positive results,” the announcement statement reads. “We are happy to announce that after an appointment with the specialist today, he has been cleared for air travel.”

Unified unfortunately missed out on MSI due to suffering from pneumothorax – known otherwise as a collapsed lung. This is a familiar diagnosis for some fans, who may remember former C9 player Hai ‘Hai’ Du Lam was also ruled out from an international competition when he was stricken by it before the 2014 All-Star Event in Paris.

For MSI, PSG Talon had the loaning of Chiu ‘Doggo’ Tzu-Chuan from rivals Beyond Gaming sanctioned by Riot. Although Unified is generally considered the region’s best botlaner, Doggo put on a show during the tournament with his aggressive playstyle – which he told us at the time is inspired by Top Esports’ Yu ‘JackeyLove’ Wen-Bo.

Although we won’t be seeing Doggo this time around, Unified will be more than eager to showcase why he’s the PCS botlaner we should all be watching – especially after PSG Talon’s dominant 18-0 speedrun through the Summer Split.
