UPDATE: The firefighter who tragically passed away while fighting a fire in Huron on Monday has been identified as Josh Kogel, who served as the chief firefighter in Cavour.
Kogel, aged 48, dedicated over 20 years of his life to firefighting and leaves behind two children and two stepchildren.
He experienced a medical emergency during the battle against Monday’s fire.
Unfortunately, three buildings at Hurd Alignment & Service were completely destroyed.
