The YCP is yet to digest the MLA quota MLC election results. With four YCP MLAs indulging in cross-voting, the YCP leadership is busy identifying the faces. As soon as TDP’s Panchamuri Anuradha was declared as winner, a couple of YCP MLA names popped in the media circles and they are Undavalli Sridevi, Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and others.
Undavalli Sridevi and Vasantha Krishna Prasad came out with the political buzz intensifying and they clarified that they haven’t voted for TDP candidate and would never betray CM Jagan. Then all eyes shifted to Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy.
Strengthening the rumours that MLA Mekapati was involved in cross-voting, the Udayagiri legislator is now not traceable. He kept his mobile switched off and even his close aides have no information about his whereabouts. From highly placed sources in the media we hear that MLA Mekapati is currently in Bengaluru and the YCP leadership is trying to get in touch with him.
Also the suspense continues whether Mekapati will make it to the Assembly sessions or not. Meanwhile the YCP is holding a review in trying to find out the MLAs who voted for the TDP. With Mekapati episode looking suspicious, the focus shifted on other MLAs.
